> Stagnoli was founded in 1981 in Desenzano del Garda from the idea of using plastics for mechanical applications. Today it makes racks and traffic lights in its 7,000 m² plant in Lonato del Garda and exports to 50 countries.

# It all started with an idea: plastic instead of metal.

In the early 1980s Francesco Albiero decided to use plastics for mechanical applications such as gate racks. Stagnoli was born from that insight.

Francesco still offers the company his advice and know-how, together with the technical and sales staff who are the heart of Stagnoli. We have always chosen to manufacture in Italy: we design, mould and assemble in Lonato del Garda, and export to 50 countries.

## Vision

Ever lighter and quieter machines are entering everyday life. Guaranteeing their performance and durability takes precision, deep knowledge of innovative materials and the ability to understand those replacing metal with plastic.

We develop metal replacement solutions that ensure precision, quiet running, lightness and high performance in motion transmission systems, listening to the specific needs of those who come to us.

History

## Forty-five years, in brief.

- **1981** Company founded as a sole proprietorship.
- **1983** Development of the thermoplastic gear range.
- **1988** Invention and patent of the nylon rack with steel core.
- **1994** The Apollo traffic light range arrives.
- **1995** Accessories for safety and automatic openings.
- **2000** We become an S.r.l. and move to Desenzano del Garda.
- **2002** Pegasus flashing light, Atlas columns, Argo photocells.
- **2006** New headquarters in Lonato del Garda: 7,000 m².
- **2016** Patent of the 1,200 kg nylon power rack.
- **2019** Launch of the Chronos traffic light and a new range of control units.
- **2021** Patent of the new ACRN5 rack.
- **Today** ERA200 for road use, VIACONTROL control unit, loading bay accessories.

### Residential rack

Iron doesn't insulate, needs lubricating, oxidises and is noisy. Others had already tried non-ferrous materials, without success. Our rack, moulded in three segments onto the steel bar, was straight and reliable under load from day one. Today the metre comes out as a single piece.

2016

### Power rack

For gates over 1,000 kg we redesigned the fixing: three fixing points instead of one spread the load and reduce bending. With the new material and the filleted tooth, capacity rose by 50%.
