ERA200 traffic lights: When technology meets urban design

Stagnoli has introduced Era200, the new traffic light with an elegant design that combines performance compliant with the EN-12368 standard with refined aesthetics, conceived to blend harmoniously into city centres as well as along suburban arterial roads.

Technology and functionality

Era200 has been designed to meet the most demanding standards in terms of visibility, durability and safety. This UV-resistant traffic light features optical components and materials certified to the EN-12368 standard, ensuring reliable performance in adverse weather conditions and high visibility even under strong sunlight. The light signals are calibrated to provide uniform light distribution, minimising glare and shadows and ensuring that the light message is clear from every viewing angle.

Shape, geometry and design

Stagnoli has adopted essential yet carefully crafted geometries: the traffic light housing for urban applications features clean lines, rigorous proportions and slightly contoured flat surfaces that help rainwater run off and reduce dust build-up. The edges are rounded to soften the visual impact and reduce risks in the event of accidental impact. The squared, almost modular profile engages with the contemporary urban space — façades, street furniture, poles, shelters — conveying a sense of order and rigour.

The colour and finish are designed to last over time: the paintwork is resistant to UV rays, scratches and weathering. The glass or polycarbonate protecting the lenses is treated to ensure transparency even after years of exposure and to prevent the formation of haloes or cloudiness.

Urban, suburban and road applications

Era200 is the ideal solution for:

  • Densely populated urban areas, where the traffic light must blend in with street furniture, historic or modern buildings and existing horizontal and vertical signage. Here, the clean geometry and the finish of the materials help maintain visual harmony even in complex environments.
  • Suburban or peripheral areas, where visibility at a distance is essential. Its ability to transmit intense light signals, its robust structure and its regulatory compliance allow safe use even on fast-flowing roads with changing weather conditions.
  • Outer roads and interurban routes, especially at critical points such as intersections, junctions and dangerous crossings, where the accuracy of the light message, reliability and resistance are essential requirements.
